Gary's nickname, 'Baba Booey', was given to him years ago on the show after Gary had purchased an animation cell of Hanna-Barbera's Baba Looie. Gary mistakenly called the character 'Baba Booey'. Howard and gang joked about the mistake relentlessly, and the Baba Booey nickname stuck.
